Account Manager

Job Description

Responsible for overseeing the maintenance process of landscape maintenance accounts. To ensure that the maintenance is being performed to the exact specifications and satisfaction of the client. To generate good client relations and to effectively manage the maintenance crews.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and training maintenance crew leaders and crew members so that they implement quality work and performances. Will provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Meeting with clients as the primary contact to discuss their landscape needs.
  • Assisting crews with organizing their trucks, trailers and equipment to be prepared for their daily routes.
  • Maintaining admistrative paperwork, route sheets, work orders, client requests, etc.
  • Managing the paperwork to ensure extra billable work is performed in a timely, accurate and profitable manner.
  • Communicating and working closely with the other departments, (i.e. construction, administrative staff, estimating and purchasing) so that the maintenance division runs smoothly and efficiently.

Oualifications

The ideal candidate will have a 4 year degree in horticulture and 1-year of landscape management experience and must be knowledgeable in all facets of landscape production including irrigation systems, spray equipment, and chemicals. Must have a proven track record in a landscape production position, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work a 45-55 hour work week.

  • B.S. Degree in Horticultural Science with an emphasis in landscape manintenance (or related field) preferred.
  • 1-2 years of landscape management experience
  • Computer literacy
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail and organization is a must
  • Excellent ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Complete understanding of the maintenance business – including : weed and pest control, lawn care, fertilization, soil conditioning, shrub and groundcover maintenance, small tree pruning, seasonal color planting and rotation.

Crew Leader

Responsible for supervising a crew of laborers in the installation of plant material. Must be able to identify plant material, read and follow plans and operate equipment. Successful candidate must have 2 years experience in construction and a proven ability to manage a crew of up to 10 people, must have good communication skills, the ability to follow direction and instructions, and must have a basic understanding of English.

Irrigation Tech

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems while meeting company and industry standards for quality and efficiency. Also, activates & deactivates irrigation systems and repairs & troubleshoots irrigation systems as required. Purchases parts required to repair irrigation systems. Candidate must possess valid driver’s license and have a good driving record. Landscape and irrigation experience is necessary. Bilingual is a plus.
