John H. Fitzgerald

Founder & President

John H. Fitzgerald founded LCM in 1990 and has led it with a “can do” attitude for nearly 20 years. Starting out with one truck, trailer, several small hand tools and a few employees, John has seen the company’s revenue grow to nearly 5 million dollars in sales and he employs over 50 employees.

Landesign has recently incorporated changing their name to Landesign Construction and Maintenance, Inc. They have been recognized in the North Bay Business Journal’s Book of Lists as one of the largest Commercial Landscape Contractor in the North Bay.

John graduated from Cal Poly SLO with a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture. He holds a landscape contractors license and an agricultural pest control license. Most recently he received certification from Weather Trak a system which can provide water conservation tools.

John has contributed not only financial support, but time and energy to local community service projects. He has contributed to The Spring Creek Elementary School “Garden Project” , Herbert Slater Middle School “Releaf Project”, Yulupa Elementary School “ Peletz Park”, Montgomery High School Booster Club “ Field of Dreams”. He feels a responsibility to give back to the community in which we work, and live, and enjoy.

Denise K. Fitzgerald

Co Founder & Vice President

Denise K. Fitzgerald co-founded Landesign in 1990 with her husband, John H. Fitzgerald, bringing her entrepreneurial experiences to their business. Her experience includes owning and operating a men and women’s custom clothing haberdashery in Newport Beach, as well as bookkeeping, banking and office management. in her family’s business operations.

As Landesign’s Vice President, Denise is responsible for the financial activities of the newly formed corporation. She leads the accounting organization and oversees banking and financial relationships as well as information systems and insurance functions. Most recently she has been playing a critical role in developing the website to launch a new marketing campaign.

Prior to co-founding LCM, Denise interned with SW Decorating Center in San Luis Obispo. After her internship, Denise studied abroad at The American College of London in the Applied Arts Program. Denise graduated from Cal Poly SLO with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics with a concentration in Interior Design, and received a multiple subjects teaching credential from the National University. She recently enrolled in a MBA program at the University of Phoenix and also obtained her CA Real Estate License.

Denise has contributed countless hours to several local community service projects which she feels wholehearted about supporting. She remains active as a parent volunteer for the Bennett Valley APT and as sustainer for the Junior League of Napa Sonoma.

Bob Cerri

Marketing Director

Bob joined LCM part time in October of 2006 as Marketing Director of LCM’s landscape maintenance operation. Bob also works part time as Operations Manager at Vac-Alert Industries, makers of an anti suction devise that prevents children and adults from entrapment, causing serious injury or death. Prior to his employment, Bob was the Materials/Purchasing Manger for 27 years for Hewlett Packard/Agilent Technologies responsible for the procurement and distribution of parts required to build HP/Agilent products.

Born and raised in Santa Rosa, Bob attended local schools before graduating from the University of San Francisco (USF) with a Marketing major while working and eventually retiring from the grocery industry and Retail Clerks Union.

Bob is currently Weather Trak certified as well as an advocate of synthetic turf and synthetic putting greens to support water conservation.

Bob is an avid golfer at the Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club and enjoys tennis, running and basketball. For many years he also coached all three of his children in basketball, soccer and baseball for many local organizations. He is currently a member of the Sonoma County Alliance, Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce and YMI organization.

Robert W. Dobbins, Jr.

Estimator / Project Manager

Bob joined LCM in January of 2003 as Estimator after relocating from San Lorenzo, Calif. with his wife and children. Prior to this employment, Bob worked for Pacheco Brothers Gardening, Inc in Hayward as their Estimator, and Valley Crest in Pleasanton as their Site Estimator.

Bob was born in Jacksonville Beach, Florida to a Navy family and thus has seen a great part of the United States. After graduation from high school, Bob spent four years in the United States Coast Guard and was a Certified Small Boat Coxswain. After the stint in the service, Bob graduated from Heald Institute of Technology in San Francisco with an AS Degree in Architectural - Structural Drafting.

In his spare time, Bob enjoys Lapidary, wood working and DIY projects around the house.

Peggy Pronzini

Accounting

Peggy joined the Landesign team in April 2006. With the addition of Peggy we gained over 30 years of experience in office management and bookkeeping. She is responsible for A/P and A/R, as well as various other duties.

A Sonoma County resident for 37 years, Peggy enjoys working outside at her Sebastopol home and dancing in her spare time.

Deborah Salomon D'Avanzo

Master Gardner

Deborah joined Landesign in the spring of 2006 as a container garden designer. As a lifelong gardener, she has a wealth of plant expertise. She was trained and worked at IREKO in Santa Rosa as a floral designer. Deborah is a professional artist with works displayed in the San Francisco Museum Artist Gallery, Quicksilver Gallery in Forestville, and Hammerfriar in Healdsburg.

Deborah has a BFA in Fine Arts from the University of Rhode Island. Besides creating her own art, she teaches children's art classes and volunteers for the Imagine Art Bus Project North. Deborah combines her many passions; art, design, color, and plants to create garden container masterpieces.
